Los Angeles based design team and couple Cyia Batten and Tim McElwee created T. Cyia in 2005 and have quickly made their mark with their innovative and unique style. Adorning the necks of many celebrities as well as real-folk, T. Cyia pieces speak a language all their own and one that is quickly becoming recognizable. Inspired by being partners in both work and life, they are fascinated by contrasts and surprise which is reflected in their designs- such as juxtaposing pearls and skulls. A little bit sweet, a little bit naughty, T. Cyia designs for you, the complex woman.

Cyia’s foray into jewelry design began during the downtimes on film sets. As an actor, she has worked extensively in television and film and she recently won an award for Best Actress at the ScreamfestLA film festival. Also an original lead member of the Pussycat Dolls, with whom she performed for 10 years, Cyia found that no matter how busy she was with these areas of her career she remained interested in pursuing jewelry as well. As fate would have it, at a cocktail party, the jewelry caught the attention of a Lucky magazine editor who quickly asked for pieces for a cover shoot that was scheduled in 3 days. Cyia immediately enlisted Tim’s help and right away they knew they had stumbled onto something special. They discovered that they made a great team and loved designing together. Tim, also an actor and a model who has worked with the some of the best names in the business was a natural, as if he’d been designing all his life. Exposing his previously untapped talents created a flood! T. Cyia was born and before they could take a breath, it was off and running. Now carried in some of the country’s top boutiques (including Curve and Tracey Ross) and worn by the likes of Nicole Richie, Kate Moss, Sharon Stone, Jessica Simpson, Carmen Electra, Mischa Barton, Megan Mullally and Ashlee Simpson, their jewelry has appeared in Lucky Magazine, Town & Country, Life&Style, In Touch, Hollywood Dog and Genulux, to name a few.
